      Sterling Silver 925 Ring

This ring is my own design, using the simple elegance of the Urnes viking art style from the 11th century. The Urnes animal imagery is very stylised and is open to interpretation. Some people see the pattern on this ring as a viking serpent or dragon. This motif occurs often in viking art, symbolising the balancing forces of nature and protection against harm. Alternatively it could represent a swan. The swan occurs in Viking legend as the bird form of the swan maidens, nature spirits who were guardians of the natural world.

I have remade the flowing lines of this ancient Urnes motif as a ring for the 21st century. You will have to let your heart decide the meaning of the pattern.

      Size and Weight

I have made this ring in four sizes. They are open so are adjustable and you can bend them gently for a perfect fit.

If you want to be more exact, please measure the circumference of your finger with a strip of paper, and compare your millimeter measurement with this table.

You can adjust the ring easily yourself by using a piece of wood, or something similar, to prise the ring open, or to tap it to a smaller size.  There is a film about how to do this on our YouTube Channel. You can copy this link into your browser  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSHPWaQP_8A&t=32s

If you prefer, you can add a note to your order and we will adjust the ring for you to a specific size.
