Rune Ring

    • Description

      Sterling Silver 925 Rune Ring

A genuine Norse inscription to bring good luck. Runes were a form of lettering for the Germanic peoples, the Vikings included, but they were also laden with mystical significance. The Old Norse poem Havamal tells of how Odin hung himself on the World Tree for nine nights, pierced with a spear, in order to learn the secrets of the runes. Ancient inscriptions of magical spells have been found on many objects, including rings. Nowadays many people make rune rings - but I have used an original sacred inscription from the 6th century from Denmark. The runes read 'GIBU:AUJA'  - 'I give good luck'.

      Sizes and Weights

I have made the ring in two sizes. They are open at the back so both are adjustable and you can bend them gently for a perfect fit.

Which size is right for you? As a rough guide: on an average hand, the small ring will fit a female index finger or a male little finger. The large ring will fit an average male index finger.

If you want to be more exact, please measure the circumference of your finger with a strip of paper, and compare your millimeter measurement with this table:

      Large ring
At its widest adjustment, this ring will fit 70mm circumference.

At a regular adjustment, this ring will fit 63mm circumference.

At its smallest adjustment, this ring will fit 59mm circumference.

Weight Sterling Silver 9g  (Weights will vary slightly from piece to piece)

      Small ring
At its widest adjustment, this ring will fit 61mm circumference.

At a regular adjustment, this ring will fit 58mm circumference.

At its smallest adjustment, this ring will fit 54mm circumference.

Weight Sterling Silver 5.3g  (Weights will vary slightly from piece to piece)

If you prefer, you can add a note to your order and we will adjust the ring for you to a specific size.

You can adjust the ring easily yourself by using a piece of wood, or something similar, to prise the ring open, or to tap it to a smaller size.  There is a film about how to do this on our YouTube Channel. You can copy this link into your browser.

      Luck bringer

The design of this ring is perfect. I like that it is broad and comfortabel to wear. The space surrounding the beautifull runes is cut out deep and makes the runes pop out. The fact that its open at the back is very clever and looks unique. The runes are not made up but have real meaning. I never fancied wearing a ring untill i saw this one. If i ever decide to own another one i know where to go.

      Thank you Andre

Trage ihn seit 3-4.Wochen durchgehend.

PS. Der nchste Ring ist schon ausgesucht ;-)

      Vielen Dank Stefan

      Really good and awesome

I have just two little things. I bought them last year in moesgård. I love your work, because it's made with love.
I'd like to buy more so I've decided to save money for the next things.

      Thanks Bettina
