Viking Wolf Buckle Set in Ringerike Style
The Viking Ringerike style dates from the early 11th century and I have used this to make my own design for this Wolf Buckle Set.
An original buckle found in the river Thames is the source of the wolf head pattern on the buckle, which I have made very heavy and substantial. The strap end is similarly heavy, with a split for easy riveting of the strap. (This should be bent open to fit the thickness of the leather). I have carved this also with a stylised Ringerike wolf motif.
If you want your buckle set put on a belt, see the Viking belt offer at the start of this Belt Fittings section.
Takes strap 22mm (7/8inch) wide. The strap end is 50mm long (2 inches).
