    • Description

This elegant round brooch is decorated with an Urnes dragon, typical of this late period of Viking art. The flowing lines and elegant twists of the dragon motif create a balanced curved effect, a very fine example of this last great style of Viking art.

The original 11th century brooch was discovered in Wisbech in England. It was somewhat crudely made in pewter. I have smoothed the lines and raised mine in a domed shape to emphasize the curves of this beautiful pattern.

The strong pin will work well for light or medium cloth.

      Diameter 43mm

Weight for Sterling Silver 20g (Weight may vary from piece to piece)

      Liebe auf den ersten Blick

I bought the brooch from you at the summer market in Haithabu for my husband. Throughout the day, my husband kept looking at this brooch for his tunic. Like a small child's in a sweets department store. For him it was love at first sight. He loves to wear it. A really great handicraft and super great goods. Je still absolut in love with it.

      Thank you Nelly.
